Dear Community,

May I ask for your advice?

It's about a potential recycle option of the white cube.

Context: After the recent survey the eBlocker team had launched, I thought about it and realized that only switching to a current Raspi is a future-oriented decision. So I have now replaced the white cube with the current eBlocker image on the new Raspi. As expected, it's working perfectly.

But now I don't want to simply throw the 5-year-old white cube with banana pi to the bin. I see it as a possible further use as an experimental computer for my 12-year-old son. I would like to flash a suitable Linux onto the SD card on reuse the white cube.

Question: can someone post a link to a Linux image with desktop that is suitable for the Banana Pi M2 plus?

We are using the Rasbian/Armbian derivate of debian distribution, for instance.

For experiments this might be sufficient but as you see modern OS are not available for the eight years old board. One of the reasons we can not support the board when moving eBlockerOS to the latest Bookworm debian distribution.

@Calimero I'm not sure what secrets you are trying to keep with your Discord channel? Instead of information hiding, I'd suggest to just post the links to your "special" images here and help @obitwo right away.

@CalimerO 🤔 I don't understand why you don't want share your knowledge/images, but deleting posts is neither my cup of tea nor authorized for my forum role.

@random thank you very much for the recommendation. Indeed I chose the 2022 Armbian and it seems to work.
