This time I read the help capitel  regarding DNS carfully, but failed

I want a DNS Server who don't log my IP adresses.  Noth VPN is recommended
that they don't do so. So I'll choose them outside the FB in the eBlocker.

I'v different adresses in the FB and the eblocker DNS Firewall  Custom list external DNS Server

But I always see the DNS from Google   ( 8.8.8.8 )   w  nslookup  ? ? ?  I rerstarted the browser, cleared  the DNS cache , restart the eblocker. Never succeed..

How can I change it, that the DNS Servers from the DNS firewall  are  used ? ?

FB 7590 DNS
DNS Firewall
nslookup eblocker
Client OS
Browser
eBlocker hardware
Client OS version
Browser version
eBlockerOS version

After reading all your posts I fear I can not help you. Core issue is the lack of basic network know how. Unfortunately I can not explain how the Internet works in an easy to digest manner. From my perspective you need professional help in setting up your network properly first.

BTW: the client discussed above is not using eBlocker as it‘s gateway/for DNS. I guess someone with dangerous half knowledge added 8.8.8.8. in the clients DNS configuration... - but that‘s just a guess. At least 8.8.8.8 is not configured in eBlocker - unless you did...

Good luck & THX!

@random

O. K. I'm not a net professional, but in the past I've got everything running smoothly for our family with  about 20 IP devices with TV, NAS, I-Net Radio, 4 X Powerline, Repater, 3 Notebooks, Tablets, Phones,  4 Printers . Only for OMV for my home-made NAS I needed  the support from a good forum w very commited  moderators like this one !

But nevertheless Thx for the wake up call.  I checked and you're certainly wright.  I changed Broadcom DNS to 8.8.8.8 for testing and forgot about.

Can you pls give me an advice what I shoud enter in the Gateway and DNS adressfields here for the wright combination .

192.168.178.77 is my  eBlocker ad
192.168.178.1   is my  FB-7590 ad

Broadcom gateway dns ad.

DNS Server = ? ? ? . .  77             Standardgate =   ? ? ?     always  the FB-7590

Thx in advance

Gateway and DNS should point to the eBlocker.

But why do you enter DNS and Gateway manually? Don’t you have a DHCP running?

@johannes  Thx

ok. I'll try your suggestions first automatic via FB DHCP

1 . DHCP on FB-7590 is active.  Broadcom automatic

Broadvom via FB DHCP

FB 7590 DCHP Broadcon on

2.  Next Broadcom manually

Broadvom manually

FB 7590 Broadcom manually 77

The tracert route steps from  5  to 12 are the same . I expect different results bcs in the DNS Firewal list there are   different entries than in the FB-7590 ? ?

How is that possible ?

This is the eBlocker forum where we are happy to help with eBlocker related questions. Your topic question has been answered already. I'm glad you finally found the issue in your network configuration.

Your new question is a generic network question that again has nothing to do with eBlocker. I suggest again you get the network basics first.

See here for an explanation about the tools (nslookup, tracert,...) and their output: https://www.howtogeek.com/190148/8-common-network-utilities-explained/

THX!
