I Just reactivated my old white cube and I'm using eBlockerOS 2.4 behind a fritzbox 7590.
I reset it to factory setting and was able to got through the initial setup process. No I'm stuck with the Update. When trying to update to 2.5 the Lightbox popup seems to fail when loading the term of service and therefore I can not initiate the process.

@enemymine Please check out this thread for a solution: https://eblocker.org/community/bugs-features/cant-enter-a-license-because-there-is-no-internet-connection/#post-2502
tl;dr: Make sure eBlocker has a full Internet connection (get's an IP via a DHCP server) where no ports are blocked/filtered (no restricted "guest access" but full Internet access).
Anyway, for basic configuration and setup there is no need for a license (to my knowledge). In case you feel like solving the networking issues with manual configuration.
Hope this helps.
THX & happy New Year 🥳
Happy New Year!
In addition to random's post and unrelated to the current issue, just FYI: There are specific instructions to update from <2.5 in German here https://eblocker.org/box
Please note that the White Cube is EOL and will no be able to run eBlockerOS 4 which will be released Q1 2025. My personal recommendation is rather to switch to a Raspi 4 for eBlockerOS than spending too much time reviving the White Cube.
@Benne thanks, for the hint. Guess I‘ll rethink the reactivation project!
Just wonder, is it not easyer, just burn a new (the latest Image) to the SD card and start with the new (clear) System!?
Correct me if i`m wrong, but eBlocker os is like every other Raspberry Pi image, you just burn (copy) it to the SD card, then let it boot until the setup wizart appers and follow the steps you be asket (just like you did i guess with the Qube) and that`s it. So the main problem from my view is, to burn eBlocker os to the SD card, but there are hundreds of tutorials for serval Raspberry Pi OSes and there should not be a big difference betwen eBlocker and others!?
It's not that simple with the white cube eBlocker unfortunately, because the eBlockerOS is on an internal embedded SD card (eMMC). This eMMC can not be written with Balena Etcher.
OK, that sounds really trickie, my fault... Lucky i startet with from the beginning with the VM version 😊 But as far i know there are serval (good old and some new) tools do the same like balena etcher, none of them works?
Maby in the rasbian forum knows a solution, for the latest PI`s you don`t even need a SD card and use instead usb or a ssd!?
