@thezilione As you've addressed several different issues on different clients, I'd suggest to focus on one issue by the time not to get mixed up.

As I'm a Windows guy, I'm happy to help with your PC.

Please use your PC (only) and gather all info info asked here: https://eblocker.org/community/announcements/before-posting-here-please-read/#post-3948

Along with the info please provide step-by-step instructions how to produce the issue you are facing.

THX!

Okay, lets go to pc.

  • Hardware you use for running eBlockerOS: Rasperberry pi 4 - 4gb ram
  • eBlockerOS version as well as filter lists version > 3.1
  • eBlocker network mode (auto, individual or expert) > Individual
  • eBlocker network settings (IP, mask, gateway) 192.168.0.220 / mask: 255.255.255.0, gateway; 192.168.0.1
  • Which devices runs DHCP server? Router/external, eBlocker or client fixed IP? eBlocker
  • IPv6 disabled for client/network? No. Always activate.
  • eBlocker DNS firewall settings; selected custom server list; 1.1.1.1 and 9.9.9.9
  • Client network settings (IP, mask, DNS, gateway):
    eBlocker: 192.168.0.220
    Gateway: 192.168.0.1
    This device: 192.168.0.119
  • Whether eBlocker’s https integration is enabled for client: yes.
  • Client browser and OS version (i.e. FireFox 80.1 running on macOS 13.4) Edge 23.0.2420.81 (Official build) (64-bit) on Windows 11.
  • Additional non default Blockers enabled? (like DuckDuckGo, Consent-Blocker, custom lists etc.): custom list: 1host complete.
  • HTTPS Auto Trust App enabled? No.
  • Exact way or a link / screenshot to reproduce the issue
  • If VPN or Tor is enabled for the client in eBlocker (and which VPN provider you are using); no.
  • Are automatic updates enabled? No.

Prints showing in the post.

🤔 And what's the error you are getting?

Better maybe: "When I open my xyz browser with the url xyy, I get abc. But I expected to get cba."

As your issue is apparently regarding YouTube, did you check the requirements for YouTube ad-blocking (i.e. no YT login, no YT app, icon on YT site etc)? See here and here

When open my browser and access youtube.com, shows ads in home page with eBlocker active. Yeah, with the icon.

Aha! The "subscribe" button tile of a channel-ad is Google/YT content which can hardly be blocked.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding regarding the video-ads blocker: eBlocker's YT ad-blocker fights the video(!) ads. So the pre-roll, mid-roll, post-roll ad videos are blocked - but no ad tiles for for video channel subscription.

Yes, html elements originating from the visited first party site can be hidden (but not blocked) using eBlockerOS as well. This probably just needs some specific element hiding rules to be added to a block list.

Background
As you are new to eBlocker, I like to point out that eBlocker is not a regular ad-blocker but a comprehensive solution to preserve your online privacy by blocking 3rd party request to tracker/data-collectors. Blocking 3rd party ads (=ad-blocking) is just a "by-product" as 3rd party ads track you the same as invisible 3rd pary trackers.

Now, with YT "subscribe tiles" the content comes from YT itself - but not a 3rd party ad server. So this element is not infringing your privacy at all - and eBlocker is correctly not blocking it by default.

BUT with eBlockerOS we've also added an element hiding feature which can be used to hide elements loaded from the first party site. Today it appears no one has taken care of hiding the YT "subscribe ads" so far.

Maybe someone with experience of analyzing element hiding patterns feels like helping here?

Nevertheless, @thezilione I'd suggest to make yourself comfortable with eBlocker and read the docs and check the forum first. 99.99% of all beginner's questions have already been answered. But of course I'm also happy to help if you get stuck.👍

@random Thanks! I'm solved my problem with browser Edge. The problem was that it conflicted with default browser tracking. But.. I'm trying to solve it on Android, but it's very difficult.

@thezilione Well done 👍

We actually recommend to disable other VPN or anti-tracking tools to avoid negative interference. See also here: https://eblocker.org/en/magazine/tips-and-tricks-for-eblockeros/

Yes! I don't use a VPN, but I am aware of third-party tracking.

thanks!
