Hello, I am using the white cube with a static ip-adresse.

For another network I tried to changed this to DHCP but the eBlocker doesn't get an IP-adress from the fritzbox.It has a 169 ip adress. I can change it to a static ip-adress but why don't get  the white cube a, ip-adress via DHCP?

(The cupe was updated via the internet).

a xecond question: the eBlocker works with Windows 11 and it blocks ad from  kleinanzeigen very well.

When I changed the SSD with Debian 13 on the the same PC the not all the ads can't be removed from kleinanzeigen.

Thats is a weird behaviour??

Any ideas? Thanks

Set eBlockerOS to Automatic Network mode and it will receive an IP-address from your router's DHCP server. Please note that this mode can cause network interrupts and it's not really recommended for continous operation. Rather assign eBlocker a fixed IP address for production.

The SSD change is for sure not causing any interference with eBlockerOS. The cause must be something else. Make sure to add eBlocker's certificate in Debian as well, i.e. follow the Setup Instructions again.

Please be aware that the White Cube is EOL (End of Life). You should plan an upgrade to Raspberry PI 4/5 in the near future - and this will probably eliminate any configuration issues that you are facing rightnow.

@benne Thanks for your answer.

What do you mean that the White Cue is EOL?
I bought this and use with the Open Source License and I hope I can use this with tne new major update.
(I don't want to use / buy a raspi).

@vnn

The White Cube's hardware is some 12 years old and we've announced it's sunset long ago in our newsletter. I'd recommend to subscribe to the newsletter to stay up-to-date.

To repeat again: The latest eBlockerOS 4 is not available for the White Cube. You need to upgrade to Raspi to run the latest eBlockerOS version.
