A new router (Fritzbox 7590) has been installed.

On the old router (also 7590) it ran without problems.

eblocker is not displayed in the router in the network.

All cables are connected.

Even the model is the same, I suspect some network settings (like IPs & dhcp assignments) are different with your new router.

Have you installed your new router with a backup of the settings from the old router? If not, I‘d highly suggest this.

Are you running eBlocker in Automatik, Individual or Expert Network Mode?

Please also make sure eBlocker is not plugged into the „guest“ LAN port accidentally.

THX!

@wiegmann

try the following:

https://eblocker.org/docs/accessing-the-eblocker-settings/

Emergency IP Address

The eBlocker is permanently set to the local address http://169.254.94.109:3000/ It may be necessary to set the IP address of your computer to an address in the subnet 169.254 so that you can access the local address, e.g. 169.254.23.42

Direct Line

As a last option, you can also connect the eBlocker directly to your computer using a network cable. If necessary, deactivate the WLAN connection of your computer beforehand. Wait 5 minutes until the eBlocker has started and your computer has assigned itself an IP address in the subnet 169.254. Then try to access the emergency IP address: http://169.254.94.109:3000/

Good day,

I've tried everything that was written to me here and in the help pages.

When the old router configuration was restored, the eBlocker was displayed. However, I could not get to the surface via the IP address.

After restarting the eBlocker, it was no longer displayed in the router.

I guess you‘ve already tried all this here (please check the docs):

https://eblocker.org/docs/where-can-i-find-the-eblockers-ip-address/

https://eblocker.org/docs/i-have-a-new-router-and-cannot-reach-the-eblocker-anymore/

If you have followed the advice from @pio78 using the emergency IP (and set your client’s IP accordingly!) I‘m clueless. Since with this approach you always get to the settings I can only conclude the device is broken.

If nothing works, I‘d recommend to get a Raspi 4 and reinstall eOS. That device is much faster and future prove.

THX!

@wiegmann Well, it‘s not about „resetting“ but following the links provided above. You can always get access to eBlocker via the emergency IP. If you have followed the advices behind the links step-by-step already, then I am clueless.

Good luck.

THX!

Many thanks for the help.

Can I send in the eBlocker once for checking?

Are there also replacement boards for the commercial eBlocker?

@wiegmann This is the eBlocker Open Source project - and we are taking care of the software only. Sorry, we can not help with hardware unfortunately.

As I mentioned above: I'd recommend to get a Raspi 4. Good luck!

THX!
