Introduction #
This page describes how to check your eBlocker certificate is installed on your device correctly. This is part of the Advanced Setup as described in the ‘Start Here’ Guide.
Access the Dashboard #
The eBlocker Dashboard can be accessed directly by visiting the http://eblocker.box URL in your browser. By entering this address in your web browser you will directed to the Dashboard for your current device. Alternatively, open the https://setup.eblocker.com link, click the eBlocker icon (The eBlocker Controlbar-see below) in the top right (or left) corner and click the ‘Dashboard’ icon.
The HTTPS Card #
On the dashboard you will find an HTTPS card. This status card shows whether the eBlocker certificate has been stored correctly. After successfully installing the eBlocker certificate it may take a few seconds for eBlocker to verify it is properly installed. If both points on the card are green, the eBlocker has identified the HTTPS certificate and confirmed that it is correctly installed.
The eBlocker Controlbar #
After a successful verification, you should see the eBlocker icon (The eBlocker Controlbar) in the upper right (or left) corner of your browser on an HTTPS web page. This verifies that the page you are viewing is protected by eBlocker and that the eBlocker Certificate has been correctly installed. For more information on how the eBlocker Controlbar works and what functions it provides please read the Help Document.
If The HTTPS Card Is Not Visible #
If the HTTPS card is not visible on the dashboard, open the eBlocker Dashboard dropdown menu and activate the HTTPS card. Do this by clicking the dropdown triangle in the top-right corner of the eBlocker Dashboard. (As seen in the diagram above.) Search the various cards and check that the HTTPS card is marked as visible (See the diagram below). Once the HTTPS card is activated, perform the steps described above to verify that the eBlocker certificate is correctly installed.
