Update Recovery using an USB stick #
Important: Article outdated with eBlockerOS 3.1 #
The recovery method described below will still work with eBlockerOS 3.1 as well. Nevertheless we recommend to try the recovery via the user interface first.
For this you need an USB thumb drive formatted with FAT32.
The following procedure requires at least eBlockerOS 2.7.4:
- Create an empty file named
eblocker-update-recovery.txt
on the USB drive - Make sure that no other files starting with
eblocker-
are present on the drive - Shut down the eBlocker. If you do not have access to the settings, disconnect the power supply.
- Attach the USB drive to the eBlocker
- Connect the power supply
- The system will now configure the update again and shut down. If you are not sure if it has shut down, wait at least 15 minutes.
- Disconnect the power supply
- Remove the USB drive
- Connect the power supply
Now eBlocker should be able to install further updates.
